This left CEO Sam Altman, who created ChatGPT, at the helm. Unsurprisingly, Musk took to Twitter to explain why he left the AI company. He says in a tweet: “I had to focus on solving a painfully large number of engineering & manufacturing problems at Tesla (especially) & SpaceX.”
He also claims there were conflicting developments occurring at Tesla which made his role in the company difficult. Moreover, he quite simply states that he “didn’t agree with some of what (the) OpenAI team wanted to do”. There are a lot of reasons there. But, most of them stem from his commitment to Tesla and perhaps a different vision for the future of OpenAI.
